Pioneering a New Genre of Peace Citizen Education with Top-Tier Instructors

The Leadership Academy is a 3-month course that combines lectures by top instructors in various fields such as politics, sociology, economics, and culture, along with multi-day workshops, operation of alumni associations of program graduates, and follow-up activities.

It has greatly contributed to pioneering a new genre of peace education for citizens in South Korea. Each cohort of graduates has formed a network for sharing knowledge and perspectives on peace and unification as well as continuing camaraderie.

The alumni association invites Ven. Pomnyun Sunim to guide historical expeditions and give lectures.

From Elite to General Citizens, from Knowledge-Centered to Practice- and Action-Centered

The Happiness School, which began to be developed in 2017, is a new civic education program that pursues both personal happiness and social happiness. Through a curriculum that harmonizes “happiness practice” for personal happiness and “happiness action” to make the world a happier place, we guide citizens who actively work to solve societal issues to also reflect on their inner selves through practice. Since 2020, we have been experimenting with remote education programs that can be operated flexibly in both in-person and virtually.

Social education programs and leadership training are offered in online formats. The social education programs deal with themes such as future paradigm shifts in society, the Korean reunification process, and the remodeling of the Republic of Korea.
